About the Event

Hailing from the heart of Australian country music, born and raised in Gunnadah, Anthony Snape's musical journey is deeply rooted in the authentic narratives and emotive melodies that define country music. With a voice that resonates with raw emotion and stories that capture the heart, Anthony's sound echoes the rich tapestries of country legends while also infusing contemporary flair.

Anthony has co-written songs for Tommy Emmanuel's Number 1 Billboard chart-topping album "Accomplice One". This partnership paved the way for Anthony to tour over 18 US states, touching the hearts of thousands and expanding his global fanbase, and saw him represent Australia at the 2010 SXSW music festival in Texas.

In 2023, Anthony charmed audiences once again, touring 16 Australia cities alongside Tommy Emmanuel including sold out performances at the Sydney Opera House and on the Broadbeach Festival stage.

Anthony's commitment to storytelling has earned him prestigious awards, including the Australian Songwriter's Association Award, Songdoor International Grand Prize, 2UE Rising Star award and OzMusic Australian Independent Music Awards, recognising his incredible ability to craft emotive, memorable and impactful songs.

Anthony independently released his debut album, "Disappearing Day," garnering radio airplay across three continents. With an undying passion for music, Anthony has released a further five independent albums and has a much-anticipated sixth, "Wherever You Are" on the horizon for official release this year.

Anthony's deep connection to the country genre is evident through numerous collaborations, with ten years spent writing and performing in Nashville, and with his ties to Australian music icons Marcia Hines, Ian Moss and Rick Price. Anthony has also worked with esteemed producers Lindsay Rimes and Matt Fell. His music may be recognised from numerous popular TV shows and movies, including Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America and Dr. OZ Show.

Anthony's innovative spirit shines through all his endeavours, like his TEDx Talk on house concerts and his insightful book and audiobook on "The Ultimate Guide to Chatgpt".

With a thriving online presence, including a dedicated fan base known as the “Snapestars”, and weekly live original music streams, Anthony continues to bridge the traditional soul of country music with the modern digital age. As Anthony Snape cements his place in the country music arena, his music promises to be the embodiment of heart, heritage, and genuine country storytelling.

Storyteller, singer-songwriter Luke O’Shea, carries on the proud and ancient tradition of singing up country.

Drawing inspiration from the humorous and the heart-breaking, O’Shea masterfully crafts and delivers his celebrated songs to connect with audiences on a surprising deeper level.

Throughout his twenty-five years of touring and making music, Luke has been awarded a number of prestigious awards including 16 Golden Guitars, 2 APRA/AMCOS Songs of the Year, a Bush Laureate and twice being named the Southern Cross Independent Artist of the Year.

With 9 albums, numerous chart successes and a particular knack for tackling the BIG issues, Luke was recently announced a Soldier-On Ambassador as well as having a number of his songs and videos being incorporated into Tertiary/University (Aboriginal Studies) and Secondary (HSC) English and History Curriculum.

However - it is his powerful live shows, contemporary sound - and larrikin sense of humour - that makes Luke O’Shea a must-see festival favourite.

On a personal note – Luke remains a keen surfer, husband and father of three grown up daughters - and over the last 30 years, Luke has taught in a wide range of schools, K-12, throughout Australia and internationally.

Luke still continues to teach Music, History and Art within a local boys High School as well as being mentor/tutor for the last 10 years at the infamous DAG Sheepstation Songwriter Retreats.
